When I was pregnant with my first child I decided on a home birth.

It was an exciting time for me, my partner and our families.

Especially for me as the time for the birth grew near.

I found the prenatal courses and chatting with my midwife really helpful. With a week or so to go, the midwife gave me a list of things to help with the birth.

So I waddled off to the High Street and then to B&Q to buy all the bits and pieces. Just a wee bit frazzled at such an advanced stage of pregnancy, I wished I could have had everything I needed well in advance, when it was easier to get around.

And what if the baby came early, before I'd bought all these things?

Surely lots of other expectant mothers were in my situation.

What if all those useful things (some of them essential) could be ordered online? You'd know you had everything you needed for the birth. It would all be top quality, delivered to your door. It would just need a website for expectant parents and families to visit and find exactly what they wanted.
